Substitute Teacher

Leonard sweetly agreed (very last minute!) to teach my class so that I could attend all of the Ladies' Retreat sessions. The kids absolutely loved him! On Monday morning I was greeted with questions & comments such as: "I wish Mr. Leonard was teaching us today" "When is Mr. Leonard coming back?" "Mr. Leonard was silly. He did this- (various demonstrations).
My favorite comment came from Randi. I had told the kids that Leonard is my brother-in-law. They don't really understand that, so they think he's my brother. Randi asked what he was like when we were young, and I said that I didn't know, because he wasn't my brother-in-law then. "Oh, so he used to be a girl?" Leonard quickly replied, "No, I've always been like this!"
