School Auction

Last night was our school's annual auction. It's always a lot of fun, but this year was even better! My parents weren't able to come, so I was bidding for myself & my mom, which got a little confusing! We had some professional auctioneers volunteer to come, and they were excellent, and a lot of fun. Somebody made some terrific cappuccino to sell; could it get any better? Shopping and sipping cappuccino...aaaaaah! Got some great stuff, some for a steal, some ridiculously over-priced. (The mantra at such events is: "but it's for the school...") My prize of the evening (and one of the ridiculously over-priced items :-) was a Home Interior snowman firescreen.

Love the firescreen, but, come on, no pictures of the rest of your loot? I always love to see other peoples bargains. I love auctions (and cappuccino)!

This is so pretty! By the time I processed that it was nice and my mother-in-law might like it, it was already over my price limit. At least I'll be able to see it at your place from time to time. ;-)

I didn't actually get much else...just blew all of my money on one thing! My other "loot" was as follows- Christmas tree stand, corn on the cob thingies for grill (just trying to get the bidding going on that one!), Beverly Hillbillies DVDs (bidding bump, again), 2 scrapbooking books & some punches, and a really cool picnic blanket that folds & had a handle (hope to use that one tomorrow after church).
