It's a Wonderful Life

Yesterday, I was surprised to get a call from my neighbors, asking if I'd be interested in babysitting their grandaughter. Talk about a job falling into your lap! Lexi is an absolute doll, and her mom has taught her to be obedient (imagine! ;-) She thinks I'm wonderful, which is both funny and gratifying. The day we got back from vacation she saw my car and cried when her mom wouldn't let her come over.
So far, so good- she's been playing with my Littlest Pet Shop collection, but I'm sure she'll keep me hopping later. This weekend she was attacked by two dogs. Now, I love animals as much as the next person, probably more. But there's a line...kids are so much more important!! These dogs had bitten before, and the owner let them around a child?! Unexcusable! The first dog bit her hand, and when the owner pulled it off it ripped open her palm. The other dog then bit her back and leg. She has 8/9 stitches in her tiny, little hand. She doesn't seem afraid of my dogs, but I've kept them separated, just in case. Uh-oh, two more kiddos just arrived! Summer fun!
