O Christmas Tree...

My Christmas tree has a story. Would you like to read it?

These are gloves that my mom wore to church years ago. They don't begin to fit my hands, but they fit very nicely on my Christmas tree. The corsage is from an event that I enjoyed with Daniel.

This is what I put on top of my tree. Back in the 1950s, when my Nana bought it, it was a two for 49 cents deal! I love it!

This is an ornament that Brenda Miles made with remnants from my wedding dress (which she also made).

This dove was on a flower arrangement at my Grandpa's funeral. He died when I was two years old. I think of him each year as I perch the bird high on the branches.

At a lace shop in Wittenburg, Germany, two kind shopkeepers gave these to me free of charge, after seeing how much I liked them.

The name of this ornament is "Holly Berry Bell." My dad's nickname for me is "Holly-berry." My name is at least partially due to when I was born, December 15th. I was originally going to be "Kelly."

Years ago I collected Meg, Amy, and Beth March. (Little Women) Jo came out the first year we were married, and I didn't buy her (at 50% off!). Years later, Daniel tracked her down for me, and surprised me at Christmas.

Most of the ornaments have been given to me. I wonder, are they my favorites because I like them best, or because I like who gave them to me?
I enjoy my "prissy" Christmas tree very much, and I hope that you have too!
Come by and see it sometime! ~Holly

Your Christmas tree is beautiful! I love it and most of all because you have so many precious memories behind each ornament that you place on the tree. I also happen to love "prissy" stuff too:).
Take care, hugs:).

Enjoyed seeing your tree and hearing your memories! That is one of the great things about Christmas! Making new memories and reminiscing about the old ones!

I love it, it's beautiful. You have a huge head start on me, my stuff is still in the attic :)

Very beautiful Victorian tree. Mine is very rustic with pinecones and red berries. I usually string popcorn, too, but figured Samuel would just eat it off. LOL. Hope you have a Wonderful Christmas!
