Christmas Day 2009

We are so blessed that we all get to be together for Christmas. We work hard all year looking for the "perfect" gift, but the real gift is the love that we all share.

Nana & Papaw watching everyone get their stockings.

Ben & Beth knit a hat for Granny!

Daniel in his new confederate suit.

Hmmm, I wonder what this is?

Daniel was really sick that morning-go figure!

"Oh, wook!"

Wow, a train table!
(The little chefs had already seen their kitchen.)

So excited! Santa came!

Patrick thought Mimi was so funny!
(And I thought Patrick was so cute!)

Mom admired some coffee kettles like this at Christmas Village, so I made her a set of three.

My wonderful, busy sister took the time to cross stitch 4 placemats for me! They're so beautiful!

I made a "First Aid Kit" for Dad, full of candy "meds"!

The Christmas paparazzi!

Patrick loved the kitchen set!
At the end of the day, we lit the advent candles, and celebrated the story again. We remembered the prophets, the angels, the shepherds, the wise men, and most of all, The Christ Child. We started with "Come, thou long-expected Jesus. Come to set thy people free..." and ended with "Joy to the world,
the Lord is come!"
