August 11th brought a big change for me. After a wonderful year off work, I've resumed teaching at BMCS http://bmcschool.com/ I taught K-5 there for five years, immediately after college. This time around, I'm teaching a combined 5th & 6th Grade class. A lot has changed...
I have 13 wonderful students; six in 5th Grade, seven in 6th. I love the kids, and the material is interesting. The paperwork is astounding! I'm drowning in tests, quizzes, worksheets, homework, smileys/tallies & etc! I'm hoping that things smooth out very soon. I'm sure it'll be easier once I settle into my patterns. (And the kids "figure me out"!)
So far it is a fulfilling, frustrating, exciting, exhausting and wonderful job! Can't wait to see what God has for us this year...
PS To all of my bloggy buddies: Reading your posts is my "down-time" now! I probably won't be posting much, but I'm still following! Lisa- You continue to inspire! Cris- Congrats on the youtube win! Leslie- Whatever happened to Julia?! ;-) Maria- Lovin' those pics... Lisa M- You realize this is how we scrapbook now? :-) Ms. Sara- When are you going to start bloggin'?! I follow others, but I think this about covers the handful of people who read my blog! ;-)

Hey! So I'm chopped liver now? :-)
I am sure you will be busy, you will have to catch me on facebook that is about as close to blogging as I get. Your students are very lucky to have you in their lives just as I am to have you in mine. Hugs
Jenness- I only included non-professional blogs... Does that get me out of trouble?! ;-)
Ms. Sara- You're sweet, and I do enjoy being on facebook with you!
Yes Holly, this is how I scrapbook now. (At some point though I really want to get back to "old fashioned scrapbooking". When life slows down...(will that be in Heaven ya think? LOL) I do enjoy reading everyone's blog though. BTW, I am looking for pictures of my handsome sons from this past weekend...hint, hint. :o)
