Homemade Laundry Soap

So my friend Chris, over at Goodeness Gracious, comes up with some great projects.  I decided to use her recipe for homemade laundry soap.  I started by going all over, trying to find Fels Naptha soap and A & H Washing Powder.  Finally scored at Publix.  (At which point I'm wondering: am I even saving money now?!)  Then it was time to grate the bar soap.  (On my new grater that I had to buy.  Still wondering if I'm saving anything...)
And here I am on the kitchen floor.  See, if you feel like you're going to faint, you should get down quickly.  (Not as far to fall...)  Oh, did I mention that I faint when I see my own blood?  Turns out that my new grater was nice and sharp...
Yeah, it was down to that weird, pale, fleshy part.  I now have a hole in my knuckle.  :-(

I have a really smart hubby-leather gloves!

What a sweetie!  He brought "first aid" supplies, suggested that this would be "blogger gold," and finished up the laundry soap for me.  We'll see how it works!
