Christmas

I'm so blessed...let me tell you about my Christmas!

Monday- Travel to Lakeland, FL  (Okay, this was the yucky part.  I do not enjoy traveling long distances, and this took about 11 hours.  The dogs were good travelers, though.)
Tuesday- Gaylord Palms Resort, in Orlando  We went to see their amazing ice sculptures.  They were so beautiful!  It was 9 degrees inside, and all the FL folk were freezing!  Here it is, if you want a peek!  They don't show the nativity, which was in clear ice; so beautiful!  Oh, and you should have seen my m-in-law on the ice slide...  ;-)  We also enjoyed a delicious buffet meal of Spain-inspired dishes.  Exotic and delicious!
Wednesday- Hanging out with my best friend, reading (a whole book!), walking on the beach, and a sweet Christmas service.
Thursday- Shopping, lunch at the Key Lime Cafe (yummo!), ice cream from Kilwin's (I didn't get Superman!),  game with the family, and started another book!
Friday- Christmas Eve!  Delicious brunch, hanging out in the PJ's until noon, back to the beach, listening to the Christmas story, and PRESENTS!
Saturday- Stockings, Christmas lunch, and more family time.
And did I mention the food?!!  So much scrumptious food!  Maybe those walks on the beach worked it all off; somehow I doubt it!  And sleeping in...  And being royally spoiled by my m-in-law...  And laughing at/with Dalbo & Jason...  And reading...  And being with my best friend...  And perfect weather!  And the beautiful Atlantic Ocean...  And not having to cook...  Resting, relaxing, and loving it!
Hope you have all had a wonderful holiday!  I'm looking forward to next week getting some projects done at my house (but my m-in-law gave me books...), enjoying the rest of my time off school, and getting ready for Christmas with my family.
