Cravens House- Battle above the Clouds
This house was destroyed by Union troops. The owner returned after the war and rebuilt as before! I can understand why; the view is gorgeous! On the drive up the mountain there were markers showing the progression of the battle. It was so sad; the soldiers fought for hours, gaining only a few feet!
We were so fortunate to visit at the perfect time to see the leaves changing- gorgeous! We took several leisurely walks in the woods. I love vacations with my hubby!
Isn't he a cutie?
We went on a dinner cruise on a riverboat. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed watching the riverbank drift by. I wish I could say that the music was romantic, but...the cover band was lousy! I kept getting cracked up when they went flat...over and over and over! Then when they started singing a song that they didn't know the lyrics to (Sweet Home, Alabama & RockyTop!)... Daniel thought I shouldn't go help them out; can't imagine why!

I think you should have gone up to help the poor guys sing apparently they needed help and you were there at the right time:). I can assure you they would not have wanted me there to help them, they would have been hunting soldiers to shoot me:). I love Chattanooga,TN, but then I love any place with a history, one of my very favorites is Savannah,GA. Hugs to you sweet lady and I am so glad you were able to enjoy some special time with you handsome hubby.
