I baked cookies yesterday. Lots of cookies. My mom helped. They're a wonderful recipe from my friend, Jenness. Oatmeal cream. Yummy. I needed special cookies for a special reason...
Last night, I gave some of the cookies away. This morning, I gave away some more. I gave them away in baskets, with a sign:
Bring Home Baby Walker
All proceeds will go towards the adoption of
"Baby Walker"
"Baby Walker"
See, we're adopting. We're still finishing our home study, but already we realize we're going to need some serious money for this to happen. Every little bit helps!
I don't usually like to ask people for things. It sort of "goes against the grain" to admit that I need help. But this is bigger than me, and it's not about me. God has a plan, and we're just along for the ride!
So today, I sold cookies. I brought five bags to work. I work for a non-profit, and most of us don't have a lot of money.
Five bags, five dollars.
Five bags, five dollars.
So how is there $47 in the basket?
People helping. People giving. People supporting.
People loving.
My heart is full to overflowing.
