A couple of weeks ago, Daniel and I hosted Marriage Enrichment. I planned a picnic, with a polka dot theme. We had chicken salad croissants, roast beef sandwiches, fruit, chips, cheesecake... it promised to be a lovely meal. Some of the guests even dressed in polka dots!

...the rain came! Lots, and lots of rain! We scrambled under the gazebo for cover. That worked until the wind started!

Everyone ended up getting quite wet! Fortunately, our friends have a great sense of humor! We all ended up laughing and laughing! The uneaten food was ruined; Ben squeezed water out of a croissant, yuck! The chips were floating in their bowls!
Maybe it didn't turn out quite like I had planned, but in the end, we had a lot of fun. I don't believe I'll be able to reuse this tablecloth, do you?!

Holly-the pictures are great! Thanks for not putting embarrassing "wet head" pictures of me on there. It really was fun-even with the rain. We will be talking about that one for years to come. Thanks for the lovely hosting job! You handled it all quite nicely!
