What am I "eating"?

Daniel & I have devotions together using a book by Dennis & Barbara Rainey. At the rate we're going, we'll finish the one-year study in three! Anyway, the essay last night really caught my attention. The author compared what we eat to what we "take in" in other ways. For example, most foods have a nutrition label on the side of their package. It shows what's in the food. What if there were nutrition labels on: the books I read? the movies I watch? the activities I enjoy? How much "junk" am I consuming? I'm reminded of a comment made in our SS class, (Nathan maybe?) that we shouldn't be trying to see what is permissible. Instead we should be asking, "what is best?" Hmmmmm...
