This year I celebrated my first Passover Seder. Preparing for it was really interesting, since none of us had ever attended one! We read and read, trying to "figure things out." A helpful clerk at Publix pointed out a special section of Kosher food that he said had been put out for Easter...oops! :-)
Finally everything was ready.

Mom lit the candles just before sunset, and prayed a blessing over our gathering. We sang, broke
matza, and ate the six symbolic foods. I read selections from the
Haggadah that were just beautiful. (
Jerrel & Patrick were less than impressed!) Jerrel did enjoy looking for bread with a candle, hiding while he ate his roasted egg, and hiding the
matza from everyone!

I cannot host and take pictures! It really was lovely, though. I was so impressed by the
symbolism; it made me think quite about about how blessed we really are. It was quite a bit of work, and I was thankful on
Easter Sunday to eat some nice, gentile ham with yeast rolls! I don't know if I'll do it again, but I don't think I'll ever forget it.
What a special night.
